Careers Fair 2020
We pleased to announce that we will be attending a number of careers fairs across New South Wales this March to help students start their careers in civil engineering.
Each year, we welcome undergraduate students to apply for our 12-week placement program that includes a versatile experience ranging from tendering and pricing to hands-on site experience. This is a great opportunity for proactive, autonomous and eager-to-learn students looking to be taught by industry leaders across a variety of civil engineering sectors ranging from rail and bridges to water infrastructure and sewer rehabilitation.

25 Years of Building Better Communities
2019 was a big year for Abergeldie as we celebrated 25 years of building better communities. Building better communities means many things, it means quite tangibly to deliver complex infrastructure needed to build better communities, assisting and supporting organisations that dedicate their time to building better communities on a local as well as world scale, and it means to continue to build an internal community that centers on support, encouragement and professional and personal growth.
Expecting 2020 to be as successful as 2019 if not more, we have recently commenced work on Waterfall Enabling Work project, nearly reached completion on our Camp Street Bridge Replacement project and will soon commence work on Parramatta Boardwalk constructing a new boardwalk. In other words, there is going to be a lot to do in the next couple of years as Abergeldie grows in capability and capacity.
During Your 12-week Placement
All Trainee Engineers receive a well-rounded learning experience collaborating with our pre-contracts (tendering) team, Engineers and Project Managers that includes a combination of time spent in the office and onsite. This will allow for you to gain a holistic and realistic understanding of what it’s like to deliver high quality projects safely from inception to completion while putting your theoretical education to practice.
There will be many opportunities to learn at the 12-week placement as you will be spending time with reputable estimators and managers in civil engineering sectors ranging from rail and bridges to water infrastructure and sewer rehabilitation.
