WE DELIVER
A comprehensive suite of capabilities and technologies
Abergeldie provides a comprehensive suite of capabilities and technologies to renew or rehabilitate sewer, water and stormwater networks. The broad range of solutions we offer, covering pipes, pits, pumps and customer service lines, enables us to confidently investigate and recommend the optimal solution for each situation.
Technologies and Solutions
EX PVC Fold-and-Form Pipe Lining
EX is a trenchless structural pipe lining system suitable for gravity sewer and stormwater networks. Abergeldie can install this technology in circular pipes with diameters ranging from 150mm up to 300mm. PVC “folded” pipe is softened using steam, inserted into the host pipe then expanded out and “formed” within the host pipe.
CIPP (Cured in Place Pipe) Pipe Lining
CIPP is a versatile pipe lining system suitable for gravity sewer and stormwater networks. Abergeldie can install this technology in circular and non-circular pipes with equivalent diameters ranging from 100mm to 1500mm. Resin impregnated felt tube is installed and cured within the host pipe via an exothermic reaction. The curing of the liner can be via steam, water or ultraviolet light.
Spiral Wound Pipe Lining
Spiral wound liner is suitable for gravity sewer and stormwater networks. Abergeldie can install this technology in circular pipes with diameters ranging from 375mm to 900mm. A PVC strip is helically wound into the host pipe via a winding machine, converting the strip into a pipe.
Structural Patches
Patching is a process enables localised repair of pipes in gravity sewer and stormwater networks. Abergeldie can install this technology in circular pipes with diameters ranging from 150mm up to 1000mm. A glass fibre patch impregnated with resin (typically between 400mm and 1200mm long) is installed into the pipe using an inflatable packer. The patch cures ambiently in place, treating localised cracks within the pipe.
Junction Sealing
Junction sealing is a process that goes hand in hand with pipe lining of sewer networks. Abergeldie can install this technology in circular pipes with diameters ranging from 150mm up to 300mm. A glass fibre tee impregnated with resin is installed into the pipe using an inflatable packer. The junction seal cures ambiently in place, sealing and repairing the pipe branch at the junction.
GRP (Glass Reinforced Pipe) Jacking
GRP jacking is a technique suitable for gravity sewer and stormwater networks. Abergeldie can install this technology in a variety of pipe diameters and cross-sections. Most notably, the technology enables rehabilitation of irregular pipe cross-sections that limit other solutions. The GRP is custom manufactured to the dimensions and shape required and installed in short sections using a jacking rig before the annular gap is grouted.
Dead-End Lining
This is a CIPP lining process that rehabilitates dead-end pipes in sewer networks, avoiding the need to excavate to gain access to the buried end of the pipe. It is suitable for pipe diameters of 150mm with lengths up to around 25m.
Manhole and Pit Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of sewer manholes and stormwater pits. Typically, removal or replacement of ladders, step irons, pipe droppers, etc., lid replacements or raising, protective coating such as Calcium Aluminate Cement.
CIPM (Cured in Place Manhole)
A manhole rehabilitation technology that suitable for sewer networks. An epoxy resin impregnated bag (custom manufactured to suit the manhole dimensions) is inserted and cured in place with heat, forming an impervious protective barrier that prevents further degradation of the manhole and provides additional structural strength.
Civil Repairs
Various localised excavations and repairs to support pipe network rehabilitation. Typically, pre-lining pipe repairs, raising of buried manholes or pits, etc.
Vent Shaft Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation or replacement of sewer vent shaft structures.
